It was that time of year again – it goes so fast! The annual BRC audit.
It was difficult this year, after our burglary where our computers were stolen – all of our Quality Management files were on that, so if I needed to update or change any of the manual, it was a question of having to completely re-write the entire document.
Ever effervescent Philip Knight, head of Knight International came to visit us after a little diversion through some very picturesque Dales scenery, and the picture is of him (see left) in our little office at work.
Despite the stress of getting all of our documents together, we still managed to keep our
Grade A with two minor non conformances. The bad news is that there is a new release of the BRC coming out for next year, so that will mean rewriting the Quality Management manual again to fit new measures. It would be nice if it was not so repetitive and didn’t mention the words ‘risk assessment’ more than twice, but I’m just being picky.
