For anyone who does not know Juliet, she is the patron saint of cheese and instrumental in putting the British Cheese Awards together.
Whilst waiting very patiently to try and get on-line to make some bank payments – the site is down – what’s new for Barclays at the end of the month…I received an e-mail saying, ‘just a quick email to say your delicious cheeses were mentioned on BBC Radio Oxford today.
Juliet Harbutt was interviewed this afternoon talking about what cheeses to eat at Easter and she did a small tasting with a selection of yummy cheeses that went down very well, and your cheese happened to be one of them!’
Kate from Eclectic Events has very kindly let me know that our Original Goat was part of the tasting
and really appreciated on the airwaves! Thanks, Kate.
Hats off to Stu who has worked really hard and long hours this week and who makes all of our cheese – well done, Stu!
Ribblesdale Original Goat is made in a Wensleydale style, so it is mild, creamy and crumbly and not at all goaty. It is our second best selling cheese and we also make a smoked version too, smoked over oak chippings from Theakstons brewery. Our Original Goat won one gold star at the 2011 Great taste Awards too.
