Our BRC Audit – still a Grade A

Yesterday, we were audited by Philip Knight of Knight International.  And here is a picture of Philip, complete with beard snood in our little dairy.  It was nice to see him again and we caught up on industry news and gossip.

The good news is that we survived the new BRC Issue 6 with only two minor non conformances, both involving doors, but this still maintains our Grade A.  The first point was that the door to our loo sticks as the wood has slightly expanded and the second point was that there is a small gap in another door which we have to seal off to prevent any fly ingress etc.  I have to say, there is a fly insectocutor above the door, but never mind.

Preparing for our BRC is always a very stressful time of year, but it is done and dusted and the new quality management manual I prepared for Issue 6 is good for a whole three years, bar updating on an annual basis for changes.  Phew.
