Me and Stu with our Superior Goat: Yorkshire Gouda

I received an e-mail the other day updating us about the final competition we entered this year, the British Cheese Awards.  This is what they say:

The judging of the 19th British Cheese Awards took place on Friday 31st August on Churchill Village Green. 55 judges from around the world judged 782cheeses made by 181 British & Irish cheesemakers which represents over 70% of the British cheese industry.  A shortlist of medal winners [around 270] is attached but what medal they have won and who has won an award will not be announced until the Awards Dinner in Cardiff on Friday 21st September.

Ribblesdale Cheesemakers

Yorkshire Goat Gouda                Veg SEMI-SOFT                  Semi-Soft Goat/ Ewe/ Buffalo
Unpasteurised Goat’s Cheese      Veg Raw                               NEW CHEESES Hard – Ewe or Goat

Fingers crossed!
